The Niedermenniger Herrenberg Weissburgunder TR. Spätlese AP2 2018 from Falkenstein is a true rarity: a dry Weissburgunder grown on one of the Saar’s coolest, steepest and most slate‑ driven vineyards. The poor soils and the Weber family’s precision create a wine of taut minerality, herbal coolness and crystalline structure. The 2018 vintage shows ripe yellow fruit, fine phenolics and a salty, vibrant tension.

Colour: Pale straw yellow.

Nose: Pear, yellow apple, citrus, herbs, slate smoke.

Palate: Dry, taut, salty‑ mineral, fine phenolics, precise structure.

Finish: Cool, long, herbal, unmistakably Saar.
