Origin & Style
The Amphora Rouge 2019 comes from biodynamically farmed vineyards in Figari, one of Corsica’s most expressive terroirs. The blend of Niellucciu, Sciaccarellu and Minustellu delivers structure, finesse and aromatic depth. Fermentation and ageing in clay amphorae provide purity, fine tannins and an unmasked expression of native Corsican varieties. The 2019 vintage is warm, balanced and deeply aromatic.
Aromatics
Dark cherry, red berries, garrigue, white pepper, Mediterranean herbs and a touch of smoke. Fresh, silky and precise on the palate, with fine tannins and saline minerality. Long, spicy finish.
Vinification
Spontaneous fermentation and amphora ageing. Minimal intervention, no fining, light filtration.
Serving Recommendation
Serve at 15–17 °C. Excellent with lamb, Mediterranean herbs, game birds or grilled vegetables.
Ageing Potential
Very good – 8–12 years.
