This two star Goldkapsel Auslese 2006 from Niedermenniger Herrenberg is a rare, high class Saar Riesling from a vintage defined by pristine botrytis and exceptional concentration. It combines exotic fruit richness, noble sweetness, lively acidity and the vineyard’s signature slate driven minerality. A deep, elegant and long lived dessert wine.

Colour: Deep gold with amber highlights.

Nose: Apricot, mango, candied pineapple, honey, herbs, fine botrytis, wet slate.

Palate: Creamy, sweet and concentrated. Exotic fruit, pure botrytis, fresh acidity, great depth.

Finish: Very long, honeyed, mineral and layered.
