Origin & Style  

Bockenauer Felseneck is one of the Nahe’s most distinctive sites: steep, rocky, porphyry rich soils and a cool microclimate. Schäfer Fröhlich’s Goldkapsel Spätlesen represent the pinnacle of selection, delivering crystalline precision and vibrant minerality. The 2021 vintage is cool, tense and exceptionally clear, with brilliant acidity.

Aromatics  

Citrus, white peach, herbal blossoms, fine slate spice and a salty, pure mineral core. On the palate precise, juicy and finely etched, with perfectly balanced sweetness and acidity. Long, refreshing and mineral finish.

Vinification  

Selective hand harvest, spontaneous fermentation and stainless steel ageing to preserve purity and tension.

Serving Recommendation  

Serve well chilled at 8–10 °C. Excellent with Asian cuisine, aromatic starters or as an elegant aperitif.

Ageing Potential  

Outstanding – 15–25 years, gaining depth and complexity over time.
