Origin & Style
The Oppenheim Chardonnay Alte Reben 2021 comes from old vines rooted in limestone rich parcels around Oppenheim. Kühling Gillot is known for a precise, Burgundy inspired style that combines elegance, structure and clear terroir expression. The 2021 vintage adds freshness, tension and remarkable clarity.
Aromatics
Yellow apple, pear, citrus, subtle herbal notes and chalky minerality. On the palate taut, silky and precise, with vibrant acidity and a gentle creamy texture. Long, saline mineral finish.
Vinification
Hand harvested, spontaneously fermented and matured in large oak and used barriques. Oak is discreet, supporting structure and depth without overshadowing freshness.
Serving Recommendation
Serve at 10–12 °C. Excellent with poultry, creamy pasta dishes or refined fish preparations.
Ageing Potential
Very good – 6–8 years, gaining depth and finesse over time.
