The Blaufränkisch “Vom Blauen Schiefer” 2017 by Uwe Schiefer is a precise, mineral‑ driven red shaped by the cool, slate rich soils of Südburgenland. Aromas of sour cherry, blackberry, violet, dried herbs and a smoky, stony edge lead into a linear, elegant palate. Fine tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, salty mineral finish define this pure, terroir focused Blaufränkisch.

2017 was also the final vintage vinified within the cooperative, making this bottling exceptionally rare and increasingly sought after.
