The Trarbacher Schlossberg Pinot Noir Two Star 2010 from Markus Molitor originates from a steep, slate dominated vineyard above Trarbach. The combination of sparse Devonian slate, a cool microclimate, and extremely selective harvesting gives this Pinot Noir remarkable elegance and depth. Molitor’s “Two Star” designation signifies elevated ripeness, concentration, and precision.
The 2010 vintage, shaped by cool conditions, offers red and dark berries, sour cherry, delicate floral notes, fine herbal spice, and perfectly integrated oak. On the palate, the wine is silky, pure, and profound, with ripe, fine grained tannins, cool minerality, and impressive length. A complex, Burgundian styled Pinot Noir with outstanding ageing potential and refined finesse.
