WEINBAU UWE SCHIEFER BLAUFRANKISCH PURBACH HOAD 2016

The Blaufränkisch Purbach Hoad 2016 by Uwe Schiefer is a cool toned, taut and mineral driven red shaped by the limestone  and slate rich soils of Purbach. Aromas of sour cherry, blackberry, violet, dried herbs and a smoky, stony edge lead into a linear, elegant palate with fine tannins and vibrant acidity. The finish is long, salty and precise.

2016 belongs to the final vintages still vinified within the cooperative, making this bottling exceptionally rare and increasingly sought after.
