Tiglat Chardonnay 2022

The nose is refined and multilayered, with aromas of baked quince, yellow apple, and grilled pineapple, interwoven with smoky flint, salted brioche, and a whisper of white pepper. Subtle notes of dried herbs, wet stone, and lemon balm lend complexity and a sense of place.

On the palate, Tiglat reveals its grandeur slowly: dense yet finely woven, with a creamy texture and precise acidity. The wine carries a mineral backbone and a saline echo that speaks of the salt lakes and gravel soils of the Seewinkel. Aged in oak with restraint, it shows spice and structure without overshadowing the fruit.

This is a Chardonnay of great inner tension – not opulent, but powerful in its quietude. A wine for contemplation, pairing beautifully with truffled poultry, roasted cauliflower with tahini, or aged Comté.
